Beach Walk At Dusk.
We rode bikes down to the beach, about a quarter mile away. Then ditched 'em and went for a stroll. Faedon wasn't all that into it, while Kellyn was all, "What's that, daddy?" "What that, momma?" "Look, a crab!" "Come on, Feadon!" She had a blast.
We walked down to where some feller was kite boarding on the beach, tethered to a skateboard with 8-inch wheels. The kite in the picture is actually about 12-feet across.
By the time we turned around, it was dark. (Not real smart, what with having to go back through the trees with kids and no lights... Did I mention Hilton Head is covered with alligators?)
Kellyn was having the time of her little life nonetheless. Can you tell?

Every Day, The Same Old Superocity.
Vacation worked like this: The kids would come wake us up. I'd go get them juice and turn on a show. Make coffee. Then crawl back into bed for another 20 minutes before breakfast.
I snuck under the coffee table to take this one. Such a blessed way to start the day.

He's Got An Eye For Stuff.
Faedon frequently runs off with the camera and captures whatever's on his mind.
Today it was himself.
Kellyn, caught in a moment of true honesty.
Evidence we're still potty training. (Which I'm sure will surface later, during some humiliating public torture session...)
And this one of his little sister that just plain makes my heart happy. I think he's managed to capture pure bliss.

The Plane Ride There.
Recently we took a vacation to sunny Hilton Head, thanks to Ashton's dad. A much needed break from the unusually cold, wet winter of Seattle.
The trip took 12 hours in total. This is Kellyn waking up from her nap on the plane... wig on sideways, ready for a potty break, ready for anything.
The next few posts will be pics from the trip.
