Bathtime!

Taz and the paparazzi...

Faedon is showing early signs of being an excellent stalker. Better yet, a high speed stalker.

Bedtime ritual

Every night, it's the same thing...7:00 hits and Faedon flops around on his floor pillow insisting he's not tired (despite very sleepy eyes and a refusal to let go of his blankie, binky or Petey)...and so the bedtime negotiations begin....

thought I'd give share this little ritual with everyone...

Summer is here!

Apparently an age-old tradition to welcome summer to Seattle is the Solstice Festival. Basically, it's a festival that welcomes the sun back in mythic style. The festival starts with a parade that features different artistic expressions of summer and is completely human-powered....meaning all the floats are handmade and either dragged by a team of people or pulled/pushed by people on bikes. But the real reason so many people come to watch the parade is to cheer on the hordes of people riding bikes with nothing on but body paint (and some don't even bother to do that). Anyway, it was a lot of fun to watch....

Kite flying...

We went to a local park to fly kites today...but Faedon was more interested in the camera than in the kite, so I had to put it away....

Our first attempt at adding video....

OK. I have a lot to learn about working the video camera and about getting video uploaded to the Internet, but here's at least a little something I managed to figure out. Look for better videos to come! (You may have a 10-15 seconds of nothing after you click play...be patient...it will eventually play).

A beautiful brunch day...

We went to one of the local marinas today for brunch...apparently Seattle has the highest number of boats per capita in the US. After seeing all the boats at just this one marina, I believe it. All I can say is when it's sunny here, there's no prettier place to be...
