Faedon's English pony

Dad and Carol were recently in England and decided to send Faedon his very own English pony...well, it's a pony backpack...but he still thinks it's the coolest thing ever. Here are some pictures of him modeling it after school today...or at least modeling it for a second before going into his usual routine of rummaging through the refrigerator looking for trouble with his trusty dog at his side...

Back online!

Sorry for the long delay between posts! We had a mix of technical issues (missing camera) and physical issues (I have been sick as a dog between the pregnancy and colds) but I think things are getting better!

More importantly, the picture above is from my ultrasound this morning. Baby #2 is healthy and growing well and is a little girl! We're very excited. They've also moved her due date up a week to 8/22.

The best invention ever

Right now I think headphones are the best invention ever. That's because Faedon has a book that reads out LOUD to him - over and over and over again. However, we introduced him to the concept of headphones so that he can indulge his desire to listen to the story of Nemo 10 times in a row, and we don't have to.....

The world from Faedon's perspective...

Faedon has decided he is tired of being the subject of most pictures and would prefer to try his hand at being the artist behind the camera. And so it begins...

Our daycare informed us that Faedon is ready for potty training. And apparently step one is letting him pick out "big boy" underwear and having him start wearing them over his diapers. So, we did that. Problem is, he loves his new underwear so much, he figures the more the merrier. Why wear just one pair when two would be even more fun? I can see this is going to be a long road....

The year of the train...

There was a pervasive theme in this year's gifts to Faedon....hint: choo-choo! He got a ride-on train, a complete train set and more Thomas the Train paraphernalia than I thought possible. And yet still his obsession continues. Terry bravely (or insanely) stopped into Toys R Us with Faedon this weekend to look for a bath mat and came home with 2 more boxes of train stuff after Faedon convinced him it was some kind of medical necessity that he add to his already overflowing train collection.
