Introducing the Dog Sofa

Note to self: buy the dog more treats. He's earned it.

Another step towards independence...

Faedon has decided he can now dress himself. It's a bit of a tedious process (not to mention, we now have to go through several wardrobe changes before leaving the house) but he's slowly getting there and he loves feeling like a big kid. Here he is this morning trying on his red shirt before deciding that "it didn't feel right" and changing into his dinosaur sweater instead.

Life is good

Today was one of those gorgeous sunny days where you feel sorry for all the people who live anywhere other than Seattle as you look out on the mountains and the water and the big blue sky. So we made the most of it and took a walk down the hill to Fremont to visit the Farmer's market early this morning and then came back up and did some gardening before lunch. So, these pix are from our walk back up the hill (Faedon and Daddy waiting patiently for mom to drag herself up the hill) and then Faedon getting ready to garden (he needed his "shades") and then lunch on the deck. Now we're waiting while terry grills us up some kabobs and veggies on the grill. Life is good.

A boy and his dog

I couldn't figure out why Faedon was being so quiet, and then I discovered him sitting having a quiet chat with Taz about life, toys and other such important topics. So I grabbed the camera and caught this adorable little profession of love from Faedon. Too cute.

Working from home

Faedon has a cold so I am working from home today while he rests. But of course, he wants to be just as "busy" as mommy so he's working very hard on his own computer that Aunt Parker gave him. Thanks Aunt Parker - now I can actually get work done when he's home!

Just a couple of guys hanging out....

These are some pictures of Faedon and his buddies hanging out on the deck last weekend soaking up some rays.

This is going to be interesting...

Last year we grew tomatoes and strawberries in this planter. Since then, the planter seems to be growing trucks...and is Faedon's new favorite place to play. I predict some tense negotiations ahead of us when we try to take this planter back in a few weeks....
