Well, we officially took the planter back over from Faedon a few weeks ago to grow vegetables (see top pic) and now he has nowhere to dig. So today, Terry decided to build Faedon his very own little secret digging area hidden away in the trees. Faedon is ecastatic. Daddy needs a beer. And mom is just glad her feet aren't swollen yet.

Faedon, Daddy and some powertools.

Bears and Boys

Last weekend, we fled the country and checked out the city of Vancouver. It's a beautiful city - kind of like what I would imagine a city would look like if you mixed equal parts NYC-Seattle-Singapore. But once you get outside of the city, it feels like Ireland. So, it's interesting. Anyway, we did go outside the city and climbed Grouse Mt (and by "climbed" I mean, we took a gondola) which Faedon found VERY exciting. Especially the bears. Here's Faedon and Daddy and a bear....
Rub a dub dub, 3 boys in a tub....

A day at the beach...
Today we took a little trip down to Ocean Shores - a beach community about an hour and half southwest of Seattle. It was a perfect day to be at the beach and was absolutely beautiful. Not to mention, Faedon thought it was the most exciting place on earth - lots of big waves and a big giant sand box for him to dig and hunt in!
Kite Flying
Another fun thing about the beach - the wind was perfect for kite flying! And after being pretty underwhelmed by the whole kite flying thing last year - it appears Faedon thinks it's pretty cool now. here he is piloting his own kite! It's kind of hard to see the kite or string in these small pictures, but if you click on them you'll see his kite waaaaay up in the sky (especially in the second picture!)
