Last night Faedon decided to let Kellyn watch over his favorite car while he took a bath. Kellyn of course was just happy to have something shiny to look at while her big brother was in the tub...

Where the Wild Things Are

Our friends Christina and Troy are clearly saints. Not only did they take care of Faedon while I was in the hospital having Kellyn, but they actually volunteered to take Faedon again this weekend so Terry and I could enjoy a relaxing day and night with just one baby in the house. And did I mention they already have 2 young boys of their own to wrangle?!

So while we are enjoying a nice relaxing evening tonight, Christina just emailed us this picture to assure us that not only is Faedon having the time of his life...he and their two sons are probably going to sleep like little logs tonight after a day of wildness.

And yes...that's Faedon flying through the air like Peter Pan. Wow.

Day 6 with Kellyn...

I just took these pictures a few minutes ago as Kellyn was settling into her first nap of the day. As you can see, Taz has taken on the role of "bassinet guardian" as his day job...and Kellyn sleeps peacefully knowing she has a lot of people and furry friends watching over her.

Faedon the big brother

In case you were wondering what Faedon has been up to these past few days since the arrival of his baby sister....he's been very busy being the best big brother ever. His main goal appears to be keeping Kellyn flush with toys at all times - but he's also very good at giving her little kisses just to let her know he loves her....

(PS: As you can see from these pictures, he's also decided he hates pants lately, so he takes his pants off as soon as he gets home from school. Terry tells me it's a guy thing...)

Welcome to the world Kellyn Rose!

She's here! At 4:14 am yesterday am, Miss Kellyn Rose Doyle arrived...and today we brought her home. So far, she's doing great - eating well, sleeping well and crying only when she feels it will get her big brother to bring her yet another toy. And so far, Faedon is loving his role as Big Brother although he really wants to feed her and care for her himself....I don't think he trusts us.

So right now, it's 6:45 and both Faedon and Kellyn are crashed out sleeping and mom and dad are enjoying a rare moment of sanity in what promises to be a wild ride with 2 tots in the house.

Date night

Last Friday, some friends of ours offered to take Faedon for a few hours so Terry and I could enjoy a "date night" prior to the baby arriving. So, while we went out and enjoyed dinner and a movie (Batman!) Faedon romped around Seattle Center with his friend Gus and Gus' little brother Ollie. He had the time of his life...and we got one last evening out before our little family grows again.
