As the only 2 in our house who are relatively less sick, Faedon and I spent the day yesterday doing some distinctly Seattle things....like visiting the aquarium with it's unique collection of bizarre fish (this lizard fish fascinated us), watching the cargo ships come in, having a little chowder at Pike Place Market and then shopping for supplies to make better specialty coffees at home. And it was a lovely day.

Sick Day
Kellyn was sent home early from daycare yesterday with a slight fever, and was still feeling a little under the weather today. So, I stayed home with her and we've been doing very important things - like learning how make a pinwheel work. While she still hasn't quite mastered it, I do consider it a small success that she realized she had to remove her binky to blow on the pinwheel!

Fun with lattes

My latest obsession is with lattes. Green tea lattes, to be precise. I made my first one this morning, and while it was not exactly a resounding success, I have some ideas on what went wrong and how to improve it, so I expect to have it figured out quickly! And once I've perfected making the perfect green tea latte, next up will be how to add latte art like this to the top of it! This is what happens when you live in the coffee capital, I suppose...
