New Years weekend

This year we spent New Years Eve with some friends of ours and their kids out in Leavenworth, WA. Leavenworth is a small town about 2 hours east of Seattle that is Bavarian themed. Like a tiny little German villa out in the middle of nowhere. Here's what it looks like at Christmas time.



So we took the drive out there, and were excited to see that they had a great deal of snow already - which was nice since we didn't have a white Christmas.

It was beautiful. And since we were staying there with 3 other couples, there were a total of 9 children in the house! Here they all are watching a movie on New years Eve.



We all had a great time - and the kids slept the entire drive back to Seattle, which was kind of a shame, since these were the kind of views we were seeing on the drive home.



It was a fantastic way to ring in 2012!
